In 1973 Quality Machining began doing business in Cranford, NJ as a job shop making precision machine parts. \u00a0At about the same time, Crown Glass in Somerville, NJ added diffusion cells to its line of laboratory glassware. \u00a0In the early 1980s Quality Machining changed its name to AMIE Systems and began to make machine parts and electromechanical devices for Crown Glass.<\/p>\n
In 1994, AMIE Systems became PermeGear and began manufacturing and marketing its own glass diffusion cells and introduced the In-Line Cell, a flow type diffusion cell accurately machined from polychlorotrifluoroethylene. \u00a0In-Line Cells are used in PermeGear’s ILC07 Automated System.<\/p>\n
